Ok so it sounds like you use live rock to cycle the tank, how much would you suggest to start a 30 Gal Tank?

How Delicate are ananome's, are there any that can live under floresnt bulbs the 10000K ones or do you have to go halide? I want to go Clowns cause my fiance loves them and I want to keep the enviroment as Nartual as Possible want them to be happy clowns. Do you use the same kind of HOB filters that I would use for a Freshwater? And how much current does a 30 gal need. I need some specifics looking to price this soon so I can get started as we can afford it?

Lastly Anyone know of any good links on how to start a 30gal small reef. Or even Info on starting a Fish only marine woould be nice I want to gains As much knowlegde about marine tanks before we decide to do this.

how much [live rock] would you suggest to start a 30 Gal Tank? I would think a minimum of 10lbs and up to what you want to have in your tank as your finished product.

any [anemones] that can live under floresnt bulbs the 10000K ones or do you have to go halide? In tank of only 30 gals. there is no need for metal halide, even if you are going to put in corals. The main thing is the wattage, you will need around 90 watts.

Do you use the same kind of HOB filters that I would use for a Freshwater? Yes, this filter is used primarily in a FOWLR saltwater tank for the water movement, as the live rock will be your primary filter.

how much current does a 30 gal need? It depends on the type of anemones you purchase. Most will list whether it needs high, medium, or low water movement. Most anemones need low or medium water movement. If you need to add additional water movement, a powerhead will do the trick.

Anyone know of any good links on how to start a 30gal small reef? some good links besides this one are:
