Hi everyone long time no see lol., Anyways i am about to start a 40 gal long saltwater tank! I had a 75 gal up for about a yr then moved and sold everything and now im starting again yea!

I am going to start off with just fish only and live rock! I bought 50lb of carib reef rock, And will be adding about 10-15lb of live rock to balance and seed the fake rock, I am using carib reef sand 40lb and 20 lb of live sand! I got 2 100w heater, along with 2 maxi jet mp900 ph, Also running 2 wispher power filters just for the begaining intil things settle out!

Im really looking forward to this tank and had a cuple debeats i needed help with,

Is this setup good or should i change anything?

Also for cycle i was thinking about just waiting a day or 2 after the live rock and live sand is in then throwing a clown fish in??? Do you think he would make it or would it be too much? I used to always cycle tanks with fish had no trouble?

Live rock should i get alor, or fuji???

If your using LR, don't use fish. Theres no reason too. Sure, it could make it. But why stress it out?

As far as LR goes, get whatever looks best at the time. I have a bit of everything, mostly Marshall island though.

Id go for more Powerheads though. I have 3 Maxi Jets 1200's and 2 Rio Seio 820's in my 75. Still not enough flow. 295+295+295+820+820=2525 GPH. Not enough.
