Lifespan of turbo snail; old age or trouble? | |
webbstock Big Fish Posts: 394 Kudos: 233 Votes: 3 Registered: 05-Mar-2003 | Being too lazy to look up the info and besides sites say so many different things. How long do most people's turbo snails last them? I just lost my two about a month apart from each other. and am trying to decide what happened old age or is my tank parameters off? (tests check out OK). I've had the snails about a year and they where fairly large when I got them. I know inverts are more sensitive to bad water so is this an early warning or just old snails? Thanks |

I have seen them over 3 inches in diameter. I have some a few years old, that have grown from about a 1/2 inch to almost 2 inches. Could be fish picking at them, or they could have fell off the rock work and not been able to right themselves, and thus died. Could be many things. There is always a bigger fish... |
