In general, how long do pumps last?

Do you mean like powerheads or external pumps?

I've heard of Maxi Jet powerheads lasting like 6+ years. I imagine other quality brands last just as long.

My main pump is in my sump, It's a RIO and says it does 750gal/hr
Then I have two smaller power heads in the tank for better circulation.
They are all about a year old and I've had no problems with them. Just currious if and when they usually go out.

Well, the RIO would probably be the first to go. They have a reputation as being rather poor pumps. I've heard of them lasting as little as 6 months. You'll defentinally want to keep an eye on it. Good maintence will probably help improve its life as well.
