Starting up nano cube | |
steve711 Big Fish Posts: 496 Kudos: 631 Registered: 27-Sep-2002 | I recently bought a 12 gallon nano cube aquarium. The one with the filter built into the back. Now i was just wondering if there are any things that i have to change on the filter to make it good for saltwater. In the manuel it said to take out the ceramic noudles. Is that true? Also is there anythign else necessairy to do to these tanks to get them ready for sw? Thanx. |

If you use live rock then it will take care of all the biological filtration that you will need on a tank that size. Personally when I set up the nano cubes for customers, I would remove everything that came with it....foam blocks, carbon bag, ceramic media, and the bio balls. Id also look at adding a small powerhead to help with circulation..and of course a heater. |
