This next week I will be getting my first RO/DI machine so that I can use my own tapwater instead of making so many trips to the store for spring water. Since I've never used one of these machines before I have a question.

After making the water and heating it and mixing my salt in can I then add it straight to my marine tank or is there some kind of additive I need to also add?

You don't need to do anything else to it.

When you mix your salt into the Ro/Di it will provide all the elements you need and will be ready for use.

ps. For top off, as said above you dont have to do anything to it at all.
