basically, i want a small SW snail/worm tank... how small is feasable?

I am considering local rockpool snails (no idea on species as of yet)

how small could i go with a shrimp?

This is all theoretical at present, i'm not going to try anything until i get more info

I have a 3/4 gallon nano with zoanthids in it, and have seen smaller.

For what you want, you could go with a 10 gallon. It would require daily attention, but it can be done.

You could add shrimp, hermit crabs, snails........

fantastic

My own in-house rockpool

I have to ask, in our CW rockpools down south, there are lichen-like seastars, they feel rough and look like, well, lichen. i have never seen one in the wild over 5cm in diameter. Would these possibly be suitable?

you know, i'd love to try soldier crabs, but i assume you need a beach for that they make the most fantastic 'chatter' at night.
