Hello a friend gave me a tank he no longer wants it is 40gal (US) I wanted to start a marine tank but have a lot more research to do yet.
I just wanted to know how many fish I can have :88) and which are good for beginners I read that Percula Clownfish, Blue-green Damselfish, Fairy Basslet, and angelfish like lemonpeel or flame are some good beginner fish.
What do you guys think?
Which ones would work best together? as i would love a community tank
Thanks

Damsels, or dartfish are cool, maybe some small gobies or blennys. be careful with the damsels cause that can be somewhat agressive.

damsel maybe gud as a beginner...but only if u got plenty of space if u want to put other fish in there...otherwise...it will just be trouble in a long run.

Live rock is not very difficult to keep, just remember that it is alive, so therefore needs to be taken care of just like an animal. You need to keep parameters at appropriate levels, and in the end, your live rock will serve as your biological filtration.
