hey guys.. I got sorta lazy with the previous plants and they got really big lanky and screwed up on me.. so i removed almost everything and am left with what you can see in the picture.

i have some ideas.. pleae feel free to comment or give advise!!

Here is a design of what i plan to get.. i dont really enjoy my stem plants as you can see with the list.. what you think??
should i get rid of the sword??

IMHO, it looks like you have way too many thin leaves plants in your layout. The only location with brad leaves if the center with the anubias and the fern (and also the small crypt).

I would suggest that you skim through some different plant types, a good start to do so are the various online plant sellers. Next, look at some classic aquascaping styles, like the dutch and amino styles, also the classical layouts like triangular, island, ect.

Once you have done all of this you will have a better visual on what you would like your tank to look like.
