If you're a very experienced plantkeeper go for it. If not, you're going to have a maintenance nightmare and algaefest on your hands. Be prepared for compressed co2 setup and daily ferts. You could only use one bulb to scale it down, but then is that lighting unit worth it for you ? Two 24 inch double tube shoplights over a glass top would give you just over 2wpg, make a foil reflector or use flat white paint. For bulbs go to hardware store and get the 18 inch 'daylight deluxe' tubes, about 6500K. With your price not posted it's hard to say if it's worth it as can't really compare to anything.
