I control ph levels in tanks with it. Looking for each tank to have is own needle valve, silanoid, and controller but using one tank. I knoe they make multi-needle valve setups but I control Ph in tanks by c02 Djrichie "So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish" Douglas Adams ![]() |

I don't know how much money you have to play with, but that will get expensive quick. It's easier and cheaper to adjust pH with your water change water mixed with RO/DI water and/or buffers. That's obviously not the case if you are injecting CO2 for plants, but this doesn't sound like the case to me by reading your post. EDIT: I came up with a quick look and calculation of about $1,000 USD for a setup like that. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

I have found RO systems for 200.00 but filters are hard to come by. If you don't change filters why do it right. Than the holding tank and big bulky and messies. I can sell anything to the wife as long as it not messy. As far as the use of the co2 sytem is mainly for lowering the PH from 8.9 to 7.0 and maintaining that ph. my Kh starts at a 1 and after 4 months, I have it now at 2 in a tank. Oh yeah it important to know I try and go as natural as possible. It can be done. As far as money who really has enough, I shop around big time looking for the right price (sale and then buy). I find that building and researching a tank is the real fun of this hobby and if you do it right not much work. I know about needle valve manifolds systems but I have to be able to control the amount added to each tank of different sizes, as well different locations in the house. As far as attachiong solenoid to each valve you can't (right?). not enough space because the solenoid goes on the tanks side they set up for one solenoid. If you want neat then get an individual setup for each tank. BTW not all fish need a neutral pH. Most will do fine at whatever pH you have as long as it's constant. Also, you can get a good RO/DI filter from aquasafesystems on ebay. You can get a 100 GPD system for $80 or $90 dollars. The prefilters you can buy in bulk from the same guy very cheap. I estimated costs of 4 or 5 cents per gallon. Again, that won't help with plants, but if you are just looking to control the pH, IMO that's the way to go. As far as fish ph yeah alot of people have writen 7.0 is the ph to have but not true, it more an important to have a stable ph. I have never lost a fish to ph problems, I lost more to temp swings than anything but try an inline heater now. I'll do some more seaching for a good RO system but than I have to add trace elements. Do you see the circle I know of Di system I installed them as pool filters but as a water purifer for potable water never fill me in Djrichie "So Long, and Thanks For All The Fish" Douglas Adams ![]() |
