It sounds pretty potent. Their directions of use is 2 drops per 100 liters! Anyhow, I was thinking of buying some. Has anyone seen this product before? |

plantbrain![]() Big Fish Posts: 329 Kudos: 226 Votes: 0 Registered: 23-Aug-2003 ![]() ![]() | Yes, I'd suggest adding something that improves plant growth rather than kills algae, otherwise it'll come back even if the product does do anything. H2O2, peroxide kills algae administered correctly(and a few plants). Same with copper sulfate. You can correct the environmental conditions(low CO2, not enough nutrients, too much light etc) and remove the algae maunally and this will fix the problem at the root. Stay away from algicides. I am considered someone that knows a fair amount about growth of aquatic plants and algae and have many years experience, it's not a path you want to go down. Rather, learn what the plants need to grow well, that will produce far more enjoyment and is the goal in the first place. Regards, Tom Barr |
