I currently have a 6gal tank with quite a lot of plants IMO, I currently setted up a 50cm cube for my angels and I am going to plant it with some anubias from my 6gal. The tank currently has:

- 7 Giant Anubias
- 2 Anubias nana Petite
- 1 Anubias nana
- A few bunchs of Java Fern (Microsorum pteropus)
- A few bunchs of Cabomba (Cabomba caroliniana)
- 1 Anubias lanceolata
- 1 Anubias Congensis
- 1 Lucky Bamboo
- A bunch of Egeria

Pic of the tank can be found here.

The tank currently has a heater, 2 X 30watt Plant Fluro, a small internal filter and no Co2. The current inhabitants are 3 juv Albino Bristlenose, 5 juv Common Bristlenose and about 20 guppy fry. I am thinking of removing 1 front right baby Giant Anubias and 2 back giant anubias on small driftwoods. (pic)

I would like to ask for some advice on a nice background plant for the right of the tank where the lucky bamboo is located and some small front plants to replace the removed anubias.

Regards
Mango

Woah... is that the lucky bamboo in the back toward the right? I've never seen it as an underwater plant, although it's planted heavily in my frog's terrarium.

For the foreground, I love small crypts. Some bronze or red wendtii could add a contrast of color. I also have some Crypt beckettii that is growing rather nicely for sticking with green.

Aponogeton crispus could look nice in the back. Or, if you can actually get the stuff to stay planted, Water Sprite looks great in high light tanks. Possibly some Hydroplila?

Yep thats the lucky bamboo to the right. Its been submerged for over 2 years now in my 2ft planted with co2. It was originally less than 10cm and now its grown quite big.

I noticed that stuff grows like crazy. I've had some in my terrarium for almost a year now, and I have to keep cutting it back so the lid can close on the 15g tall. I actually think it looks better under water from your pictures. The leaves look more broad than when grown emmersed. You may want to find more of it (yeah, like it's that hard to come by these days) and plant it in the background.
