I'm trying rid my tank of nasty blackbeard/staghorn algae and wanted to use AlgaeFix. But before, will AlgaeFix kill my plants as well? I've been getting varying statements that it does kill plants while others say it does not.

Hi Sly,
Some aquatic plants are more susceptible to algaecides than others, so it's a matter of what kind of plants you keep and the dosage of the product, they might not die, but they will sure be affected by it, some can endure, but you will notice some of them wilt, some of them melt, some of them just stop growing, and it will take a lot of time for them to recover their strength again, IMO it's not worth the try, for that matter, you better consider tearing down the tank, get rid of your infected plants, and get new ones. or do the above, but trim all of them.
