Any ideas as to what could be the cause? I am very new to the planted aquarium and have only had this one up for about a month. Any tips or advice for a beginner? †Aquapickle† |

I found that excess iron levels can cause hair algae growth, which is what i have. I was unknowingly probably adding flourish iron when it wasn't necessary. Thanks for the links Garry they were very helpful. ![]() †Aquapickle† |

It was also suggested to me to up the amount of time my lites are on. But, the lighting suggestion I believe, is specific to brown algae. The GAE is doing nicely at cleaning up! |
