Looks like BGA to me - despite the color (it can come in just about every color of the rainbow). I'd say keep nitrates above zero but not too high, cut the lights for a week, watch your phosphates, underfeed, and see how it goes from there.

I was thinking adding some Amano shrimps afterwards, to possibly prevent, keep in check, any future algae "attacks"...
?

They won't help with BGA, but they're great to have around for filamentous algaes.

I don't have any phosphate tests... I'll try and refrain from changing the water for a bit and it's only guppy fry (hence the sponge over intake) in there, so they don't get much food. I'll cut the lights after too.
But what about changing the lgihts, using the ferts and using the CO2?

Have you checked nitrates? I'd start there.

Ferting, CO2, etc - I wouldn't suggest any real changes until you've gotten rid of it, at least. Those are good ways to get rid of algae, but cyanobacteria's a whole different creature.

Test results:
KH: 4 degrees dKH (or 71.6ppm)
GH: 8 degrees dGH (or 143.2ppm)
pH: 7.8
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 10

And the fert that I have (but only used once) is Kent.

In that case I'd start with a 7-10 day blackout, then when the lights are back on try light fert'ing.

The Myrio and Cabomba are more "uncommon" (too lazy to go get the papers with the scientific names) (the Cabomba is supposed to sprout red leaves which then turn green as new red ones sprout, and was doing this till the algae), so anyways, will they be able to tolerate a week without light?
Also, some of the Myrio stems are turning brown and dying from the bottom towards the top and becoming limp.
And, my stem plants seem to be taking long to properly root themselves, they've been there for about 4 weeks and not many roots.

So I guess I'll kill the lights for a week, do SMALL water changes every day during this week, change one of the 9 watt lights to a 14 watt one, and start lightly using the fert when the week is over...
Good plan?
I will do my best to manually remove some of the alage myself during the water changes and I mgiht go a buy some Amano's jsut for fun aftwerwards.
