I have made a few observations on my anubias coffefolia, anubias caongensis and a random huge anubias. They grew at least 20x's more roots burried in the gravel instead of being left on my rocks they were previosly were on. They grew this many roots in about one month. Can any explain this since everyone always told me to put them on a piece of driftwood or rocks? |

The thing is, that the rhibisome must not get covered up by the substrate, this is the main reason everyone says to but them on a rock or driftwood, ect. Because many people would take one home and bury the rhibasome, and kill it. And besides, they are easier to propagate from a rock or driftwood, as if you pull too hard on one in the substrate, you could pull it up out of the gravel and have to re set it. There is always a bigger fish... |
