I have an anubias nana flower that is not opened yet and is giving off 4 or 5 tiny bubbles per second. What are the bubbles made of?

Oxygen.

Plants produce oxygen during the day. Usually not visibly. Sometimes if a leaf is damaged or has a little nick in it you can see the oxygen bubbles stream out.

In bright light tanks with Co2 injection where plants are photosynthesising (sp?) strongly the oxygen can be visible as small bubbles cling to the leaf.

Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.

Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability.

Thanks Bensaf, that's what I thought it was. I've just never seen bubbles streaming out of a plant before.
