Aponogeton Question | |
FishKeeperJim Big Fish Member MTS Anonymous Posts: 348 Kudos: 208 Votes: 186 Registered: 09-Jan-2007 | I have one Aponogeton in my 55 tank it was Growing good, putting out flowers 2 to 3 a week then it stopped everything, then the leaves started to fall apart. While I was cleaning last night the plant came out of the gravel and there was as large bulb there, that wasn't before, but no roots at all. Do I need to remove the bulb from the tank for a while and then replant it? I don't have much experience with these plants but I seem to recall that I need to do this. Just not sure, Help please. Thanks. mts.gif" border="0"> I vote do you? My Tanks at Photobucket |

You can put them in the fridge for a couple months, then bring them back out & replant them & they will go again. I never did it though. I noticed a bulb growing by my plant too, only it was on top of the soil. It was doing fine, so I didn't worry about it. I just rearranged that tank & moved the plant with the bulb. Mine had roots on it though. I would say yeah, put the bulb in the fridge. It's worth a try. let us know what happens to it later. |
