At least in my petco. In case there are some of you who dont know what i am talking about, here is what they are. Aqua Plants are aquatic plants that are grown in a plastic tube. The roots are in a gel. The plant seems to be in a high humidty container which is why i gues they survive with no water. Lets just say i saw these plants and had to give one a try. I got the easiest plant they had, which is a java fern. I have had it for 3 days now and already a new leaf is coming up! Anyone else have any aqua plants? How are they doing? Mines doing good.

I had no idea what he was talking about. I don't go to petco often. Anyway, here is a link to some random place that sells the same items. Interesting. You'll have to tell us how your plant does. Did it look damaged in any way from shipping or handling? How was the price?

I seen those here at the lfs but the prices were double. It was a small, young plant for double the price of a large mature plant. One advantage is that they are guarenteed to be snail and disease free.

They had those at my Petco. The bad thing about it was some of them died on the rack, but they were in a spot nobody noticed they were there and didn't do anything about it. The dead or dying plants in the plant tank got a lot more attention (but the aquaplants was the only place we has java fern, which were actually quite alive and I recommended them often).

They go by the potted price. $3.99. This may seem a little steep but think of the advantages-1-no diseases,2-no snails3-plants are not nibbled by fish4- near to perfect condition. If i had to rate the quality of the plant on a scale of 1-10 high i got i would say it is a 9.5. Plus it was 3in. high with 14 leaves.

Every single one I've seen so far has been a terrestrial plant being sold as an aquatic, so I'm none too pleased with these so far. Potentially a nice idea, I suppose, but c'mon, sell some darned true aquatics!

EDIT: I suppose I should specify - I mean of the ones I've seen locally, they've all been terrestrials. I am aware they're selling aquatics, they just don't seem to have gotten to my area!

Yeah i noticed that there are alot of terestial plants and teranium plants and vivarium plants such as peace lillies (spathiphyllum wallisii(under the allias of umbrella plants), peacock fern (selaginella wilbenowii), white ribbon (dracaena sanderiana)& gold ribbon (dracaena variegatus). Some aquatic ones i noticed were the java fern, water sprite, and the amazon sword.
