What can y'all tell me about the light system on this link?: [link=http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7736734649&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7736734649&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1" style="COLOR: #FF00FF[/link]

I've never heard of the brand and didn't know if they were any good. Apparently the Odyssea brand is less than stellar what about this?

I know I would have to put 6700K bulbs in it for the plnats since I don't have a reef tank, but does any body kknow about the overall quality? Just curious...thought I might toss in a bid if it's worth it.

From what I heard it is the same deal, JBJ is not all that good in quality.

But who know if what I heard is right? I for sure have no direct proof one way or the other.

Ingo

PS: I didn't find it on the site, but I think it is 4 x 65W, right?
Also - what kind of lamp socket is is and how easy are replacement lamps to find? And what do they cost?

Oohhh....those would be good questions to email the seller! I have no idea. I'm just checking my options. In the end I will probably go with the Coralife freshwater PC set-up that I have been eyeballing at Big Al's. I'm just getting opinions on all the options. I would hate myself in the morning if I didn't get the most decent lights at the absolute cheapest price I can find.... It's my thrifty side coming out!!

I have 60 pounds of Eco complete and some java ferns and misc. crypts on the way...along with some ferts, a DIY CO2 set-up, and a few other things here and there....all for $70 bucks...shipping included. The Eco compete has been in a tank for a month or so, but I'm putting any fish in for a while so I figure I will rinse and let it sit...that should kill any heebie jeebies.

I know I will probably need 20 or so more pounds of Eco for a decent depth or substrate in a 55, but it's a start.

Anybody else on the lights?
