	CO2 Bubble rate

When I first started using DIY CO2 I used a standard air stone and it produced fairly large bubbles. I now use a wood airstone which produces more smaller bubbles (which is better). There are too many bubbles to count, just keep an eye on the PH rather than how many bubbles. My PH went from around 7 to 6.5 to 6.8 and my plants have been thriving since adding it and the right light. hope that helps

moondog Moderator The Hobnob-lin Posts: 2676 Kudos: 1038 Votes: 4366 Registered: 30-Sep-2002	it all depends on the mix you use and also how deep into the tank it goes, as well as a host of other factors. as stated before, keep a close eye on the ph instead of the bubble count. bubble count doesn't mean anything on a diy co2 unless you have zero bubbles.
