I just wanted to know what it's real name was. I think it might be an apotegon(that's not the right spelling). It has oval shaped leaves with a vein pattern that reminds me of a lace-leaf plant, except the leaves are opaque green. Also, the new leaves start off pink but become greener as they get bigger. I've also found a semi-opaque white whispy sort of thing groping on my hygro, i presume it's a sort of algae or fungus. Any ideas? Thanks! <Vet in Training> Blog under development: http://www.nearlydrferox.blogging4life.com/ |

Eichodorous "Oriental". It behaves exactly as you describe, new leaves are red but turn green as they grow. The leaves have a ruffled edge similar to Aponogeton's hence your confusion. They also have quite ![]() ![]() Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
