I think in the world of Botany, taking any cuttings from a "mother" plant to make new ones is called cloning. You're using the same plant to make more, no seeds involved. But I'm in no way a botany expert! But I think Java Moss would be relatively easy to do, as it is a very hardy plant. It normally propagates by rhyzome shoots I believe. |

It's actually quite easy with some plants, except for Palms I've noticed. I'd say it's just about the same principle though. Yours just sounds more technical ![]() |
