I have (had) a beautiful tank with java moss covering about half the bottom and a lot of Chinese Cabomba that was flourishing, but the Cabomba started to look stringy and then I realized my Veil-tail Angel that doesn't stop eating has been eating up the Cambomba. Now I had to remove almost all of it and start over. Anyone have this problem and do you know of any plants that Angels won't eat.

I have a similar problem with my angel. Like to snack on the plants on occassion, and seems to have high class tastes only goes for the really nice plants ! Luckily it's not to the extent where a plant is seriously damaged or destroyed so not a major problem.

I'm assuming it's because of a lack of vegetable in his/hers diet. Problem is the angel won't touch any vegetable I feed the other fish. They all go completely nuts for peas, for example, but the Angel won't even look at them. If you can find a vegetable the angel likes that might satisfy the craving for greens and keep it away from the plants.

Never kept angles. But my discus striped all my foxtails.

I acutally feed my Pleco in the tank the sinking Algae Wafers that my Angel eats as well, but he is going very fast and just keeps eating.

The name of the post makes it look like a crazy plant is eating an angel, just wondering if anyone noticed.] My angel doesn't touch any plants.

My angels doesnt touch my plants! You could try swords the shouldnt bother them!

Angels are almost entirely carnivores. Maybe something else is eating your plants behind your back.

I have to dis-agree with above. I've seen Angels go nuts trying to strip a plant. My own like to tuck into the crypts from time to time, did a great job of stripping the leaves off a Reineckii.

i see my angels nipping on my cabombas all the time, a reason why they arent doing too well in my tank, i still keep them just for the angels to snack on.

No it's definitely my Angel eating the plants and he loves the sinking Hikari Algae Wafers.

I actually seeing him pulling at strands of java moss and sucking it down like spagetti. This Angel has more than doubled in size in about 2 months.
