shawnp2k Hobbyist Posts: 66 Kudos: 14 Votes: 1 Registered: 19-Mar-2006 | Apperently My water is a little too high in GH whats the best way / cheapest being the major issue to lower my GH as it stands now my GH is about 11deg, my KH is about 4Deg I was reading somewhere that using deionized water would lower my GH. Any suggestions? I have a 110gal.. so im looking for something cheap thanks Shawn |

As you have posted in the planted forum I assume you think it may be too high for plants rather then fish. 11 dgh is nothing to worry about at all. Plants generally don't mind GH not even the so called soft water plants. KH is much more of a factor for plants then GH. At 4 degrees for KH it's nigh on perfect.....so as I say I don't anything to worry about. Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |
