There's an ad on page 56 of the July '07 issue of Aquarium Fish magazine for a new substrate from Estes called Flora Terra. Has anyone used this yet? The add describes the substrate as "Course sand coated with true laterite." Sounds interesting.

renoharps,

I have not used this product, but This is the company.

I have bought Estes gravel before for 3 of my tanks (the only one that still has it is the 125G), but all of these were inert.

Somehow I have my doubts that this company has enough experience in the aquatic world to make a good substrate, but who am I to judge?
