It's definitely the fastest growing plant in my tank, and I have ludwigia repens, bacopa, and rotala rotundifola. It easily grows twice as fast as any of those. I've had wisteria and water sprite, and they didn't grow as fast either. I also think it's one of the best looking fast growers. Critical Fertilator: The Micromanager of Macronutrients |

Sometimes I trim off the bottoms and and replant the tops if it doesn't look good towards the bottom anymore. CO2 has a visible effect on the health of this plant IME, but tends to get raggety when there aren't enough ferts for the speed of it's growth. IMO it depends on the tank. I've had java fern outgrow wisteria, hornwort that doesnt grow in highlight and co2, and rotala that outgrew polysperma. ^_^[hr width='40%'] The life, the love, You die to heal. Generally the fastest I've seen is Water Sprite. But I've had Rotala in low light that grew inches every day. I assume it was stretching for the light.
