I have a few stupid questions:

1. The wrap that comes on the bottom of live plants, (foam and a metal tie) is that supposed to stay on?

2. I have had this community tank for about 4 months. Water quality good, I got a good canister filter running, etc. Then I got some plants (already had good substrate & gravel mix). They started looking bad quickly so I decided to step up the lights. The plants honestly don't look much better (but it's only been a week), and now I got alge all over the place and little bubbles form on top of my rocks. It looks pretty cool, like a field of pearls, but I'm sure it's bad sign. Any suggestions?

3. My plants also been getting eaten, which of my fish are most common plant eaters:

2 Angels
4 Orange Tetras
6 Cardinal Tetras
2 Rainbow Fish
1 Black Ghost/Knife Fish
4 Little catfish (don't know name)
1 Tan Pleco

If anyone can help me out with these I would be most grateful. This is my first tank, and I really don't know what it is I am doing.

Thx!

we need to now size of tank, type of lighting, type of plants- the bubbles- are you running co2?? the bubbles could be from the plants pearling ( good), What does the algea look like?? Is it attached to your plants- the glass- floating around in gobs, bluish, green, slimy, hairy, fuzzy, brown, black?????

3. My plants also been getting eaten, which of my fish are most common plant eaters:

4 Little catfish (don't know name)

Look threw the frshwater profiles to get names for your fish- orange tetras/ rainbowfish/the little catfish ( probably corys) and pleco- names will help us help you. Also what are you feeding??

If anyone can help me out with these I would be most grateful. This is my first tank, and I really don't know what it is I am doing.

Thx!
