I ordered about 8 plants and shipping was just $7. Plants came looking like they had just been placed in the bags. Totally secure and well packaged.

Cool. Looks like a good place.
I order from http://www.aquaticplantdepot.com. Their plants are a little cheaper than that place, but shipping is $10, so it would even out the same cost.
Do they ship through the post office or UPS? Aquatic Plant Depot ships through the post office. I have received my orders both times, but I always worry because I've ordered other things that shipped USPS and I didn't get them.
I'm glad they have good places to order plants online. I have only found one LFS that has pretty good quality plants but they are kind of expensive. They also are not as good quality as the ones I get offline.
Thanks for the site! :%)

edit: Hey I just noticed that both sites have the same pictures. Aquarium Plants may get their plants from APD. Or maybe they just have the same pictures. :%)

ladiejl and GirlieGirl8519,

Yeah, this are nice sites, can you tell us anything about the size of the plants that you received? I mean, are they very small and young, have they been grown emersed?

Some online providers don’t wait for a nice growth to develop before they sell the plants. It will take then quite a while in your tank until the plant reaches its potential. This has 2 distinct disadvantages a) your plant mass is very small when you set up the tank (and as such does not provide a sufficient nutrient remover to avoid cycling symptoms) and b) it is much harder to envision the how the tank will look like when the plants have grown.

I came across a site that shipped very nice sized Anubias and other plants at one time, but the next time a got a tiny Sword (maybe 2 to 3 inches tall and 1 inch in diameter) that will eventually be 20 inches tall and 10 inches in diameter.

The foxtail filigree was the full height of my 10 gallon. The grass was about 4 inches high. The wendti was the only "small" one. The Amazon lost about 6 leaves but still had many many on it. So I an guessing they ship them pretty well full size....or quite near. Of course all plants will get bigger the longer they are alive. But You know what I mean.

I think these came UPS. They didnt come us post or FedEx. I am positive of that.

My plants came pretty big too. This past time the pygmy chain sword was 4 inches tall, the rotala indica was about 5 inches, the bacopa was 5 inches tall.
The anubias nana I got last time was about 6 inches across, with the leaves spread out and the leaves were pretty big.
The rotala and bacopa still looks short in my 55g but its growing. The chain sword is alot taller than I expected it to be. LittleFish how do you get yours to stay shorter?
