Aproximately 2wpg. The tank has 180 litres of water and has been cycling for about 1 week. There is a CAE in there, but I'm not expecting him to eat any algae for me. Do you think that the algae will clear up after cycling or is there something else I should try? <Vet in Training> Blog under development: http://www.nearlydrferox.blogging4life.com/ |

Doesn't sound like those problems with your tank, but you could try completely darkening the tank for 3 or 4 days and use plenty of surface agitation to oxygenate the tank and see what happens. You may also find that it will gradually just disappear as the plants take hold more strongly and out-compete the algae. Regards, Deb In wildness, nature is not human-hearted! |
