The Hagen probably wouldn't make much of a dink. I mean, any CO2 is better than none at all. But still. You'd be better off doing DIY if you don't want to go pressurized, but that'd be more of a PITA than anything else.

I've read a few things about that other one you linked to (to which you linked...? ) but if you're going to spend that much, just save up a little more and go pressurized! For the Carboplus thingy, it seems like there's a carbon block that gets spent up, depending on how hard you run the thing. It may get used up rather quickly if you want significant plant growth.

I know pressurized costs a lot, but I saved up for three months to get a decent set-up for my 46. It's amazing. The plants are growing and pearling like there's no tomorrow. The Vals pearl so much that the back of my tank looks like there's one big bubble wand going off. For a tank that size pressurized is the way to go. And if you don't want the equipment any more you can always sell it and make back a good portion of what you spent.

Good luck

definitely recommend pressurized if you're going to do a co2 setup. it's a higher initial cost, but once it's working, you only have to fill the bottles again, and that's not that much money (usually $1/pound of co2 -- at least around here)
