is hair algae dangerous as i've been cycling a new tank for 6 weeks now
cycling with 10 tetras + 3 days ago 1 male molly
and some hair algae

I only can respond to the initial question, as I have no idea what entry number two and three mean

Hair algae, per say, is not dangerous, it is just unsightly for people. For fish it is just another plant.

On the other hand, there are limits to anything. If you have so much algae/plants in your tank that your oxygen levels would fall so low that your fish could not breathe then this would be dangerous. Fortunatley, I believe you would have to grow quite an algae jungle to reach that point and you could correct it by adding an airstone that runs at night.

The bigger question here should be: Why do I have hair algae? Is that something you would like to find out about?

Oh lol i was asking because I have the samething in my newish aquarium, It was either because I put fish in before i should of or I had my lights on way too much, now my aquarium is cycled and I cut my lighting time to 8H and most of it is gone, I hope my future ottos will eat whats left.
