	Hair Algea
eureka red Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 95 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Apr-2004	Hi, my tank has been running for about 2 months now with co2 and 3.3w per g of light, my ph is 6.3 with kh 2.2 30ppm co2, i have just started to get hair algea and i have just started using tom barrs estamative index and previous to that my po4 was at 5 now i have got it back to 1 just this week and my nitrate is a 12 so there in balance. Last night i pulled of as much as i could but i wont to no how do i get rid of it for good and what is causing it cheers axl

eureka red Hobbyist Posts: 86 Kudos: 95 Votes: 0 Registered: 04-Apr-2004	I am using seachem flourish to dose micros and only started using this product this week i have only put in 2 applications so far, and its winter here not summer, 1 light is brand new and the other globes are about 1 year old. So i have only really started dosing micros this wek for the first time once this takes affect after a couple of weeks maybe the hair algea will dissapear

bensaf Fish Master Posts: 1978 Kudos: 1315 Registered: 08-Apr-2004	If you've been running the lights, co2 and macros for 2 months but only dosed micros recently could be a problem. Keep up with the EI routine, including the micros, and it should sort itself out within a week or two. Some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.
