Hi guys, I wanted a Co2 injector but at my local petshops they are more than 50$ for manual ones and I didn't really want to order one online. I looked it up on the internet and discovered a homemade recipe thats supposedly very easy to make and maintain and I've tried 3 times already and still no luck Has anyone does his before? A diagram and a more thorough explenation of how this works would help A LOT!

if you let us know what you did we could probably figure out what you can do to make it work

make sure your bottle cap is SEALED and TIGHT. squeeze your bottle with the cap closed and plug the outlet and see if you feel any air leaks out... if yes, you gotta find it and seal it some more, use soap solutions to check the leak

make sure your yeast hasnt expired, usually the yeast you buy in the supermarkets only have 6 months before it expires

make sure water is luke warm, not hot, and not cold

make sure you are patient enough to wait until the bubbles come out, give it at least 2 hours, it might even take 1/2 a day

an advice for you, if you (eventually) are considering buying the $50 kit they sell at petshops, you might as well save that money and invest in a tank system.

and yeah, let us know what you did, so we can catch your mistake

I've only had trouble with my CO2 batch once....I think it was because I just filled the bottle too full .

[link=Here is a great thread]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Planted%20Aquaria/55803.html" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] to read up on about CO2. The T-barb adapters that are mentioned saved my sanity when it comes to the hose thru the cap :%).
