Here's what I came up with, a crocheted bottle cozy. Good for camouflaging those ugly pop bottles and I think it would probably keep the temperature inside the bottle more stable, meaning you would have a more stable production of CO2.

I will be posting a pattern here, heidi said she wanted one. I just made the whole thing without really thinking about what I was doing so I need to go back and count rows and stitches and things. :%)[/font]

tryst,

You are too funny

I love the idea and it shows how much you care about your aqua-stuff, even the CO2 bottle. On the other hand, it also shows that you have way to much time on your hand. I think you need another tank .

Regarding the bottle itself, I wonder if it has a positives effect on the CO2 production as you most likely maintain a more balanced temperature inside of it.

Very nice,

Hey that's really cool tryst - mine are entirely too visible sitting on the top of my tank. I always tell people it's what's on the inside (of the tank) that counts .

Thats too cool tryst !

I've just spray painted mine black and it sets behind the tv a bit which is right next to the tank (anyone know what radiation does to CO2 ). The one on the 10 @the office just sets behind the tank.

you could market that to more than just the aquarium people, it has multiple angles it could be sold at

I actually want the pattern so I can make some to help insulate frozen water bottles at schoolI'm not sure what this school's issues will be with a teacher having a small fridge in there classroom, but I have to have my cold water all day, and I don't want water out of the water fountainyucky By the way they are very prettyheidi
