From what I understand, one of the keys to success with real plants is to plant heavily initially so that the plants suck up the nutrients before the algae has a chance to get established. The plant I was toying with starting with is Hygrophilia polysperma (dwarf hygro). I understand it works very well in this role. But my question is how heavy is "heavy"? How many stalks of it would I plant to get the upper hand on algae? |
