Well, not really. It is about a 10 minute hike from my house back into the woods. I found this ditch, that was out in the bright sun. What caught my attention about it was that i saw these little things wriggling in it. I looked closer and it was hundreds of tadpoles. Then I looked even closer and there were plants in the 4 inches of water. They appear to be some type of ludwigia possibly.
Characteristics of the plants-
-grow upright like the ludwiga in our tanks
-have alternating leaves like the ones in our tanks
-the bottom sets of leaves are green while the tops are red
-at the thickest, the leaves are about a 1/4 in. wide
-approx. 3/4 in. long.
-location-southern pennsylvania.

Some of it was growing along the water with only green leaves and it was much smaller. does anyone know if it is ludwiga. I will google in the mean time.
