![]() | Light bulb suggestion for 55g |

I am looking for bulbs online so that I can have 2 wpg and get some plants. I'm hoping I can find bulbs that will give me that w/out having to replace the hood. I spent pretty much all the extra money I had on the tank so there is not much left for anything else. I am going to order some stuff from either Big Al's or Drs. Foster and Smith. If anybody has suggestions on bulbs from these sites that would be great. The aquarium is AGA and the hood holds two 48" bulbs..if anyone needs that info. If you know of another site then please tell me. Thanks! |

The wattage of the bulbs is determined by their length and if you have a normal fluorescent fixture the wattage will always be 40watts per bulb. Unless you alter the fixture, replace it, or add another one you can't increase the light. |
