I found there site and was thinking that this could be the way to go for lights at a resonable price. I also like the fact that I could customize a light set up to fit my needs like 1 96 watt lamp and 2 36 watt lamps all on there own ballast or 1 96 watt and 1 55 watt a guy could even go with 4 36 watt lamps if so inclined. I would think something like this could help fine tune your light needs and help control alge growth. |

It seems like you need to be quite a handyman to get one of these custom units set up. I much rather buy a finished unit, setup is instant, errors can be blamed on the manufacturer, and when picking the right unit then algae control is just as efficient. BTW, having all kinds of different wattages etc. in your lighting is not a way to prevent algae, this is done by turning them on and off at the right times (plus all the 1000 other factors that cause algae).
