I wanted to get a bulb (18" ) that would make my fish and plants (live), and the tank its self seem the most colourful and bright. What single bulb would you recommend? What plants do you have? Ingo ![]() |

Not sure what makes them LOOK the best, color wise, but I always try to get a bulb close to that temperature. I just came back from walmart after buying bulbs... the ones marked "aquarium or plant" lights turned my aquarium a nasty pink color... I returned them and bought "daylight" bulbs rated at 6000K, which is the closest they had to my target bulb. Heck, though... six bucks at Walmart or fifteen at petco for a similar bulb?
