Lighting for plants | |
davyboy Fingerling Posts: 24 Kudos: 27 Votes: 10 Registered: 17-Jan-2011 | My hood holds a CFL tube, and there are about 8 different types of tubes I can purchase at my LFS. My question is, do I NEED (I know they would be best with a natural light, however my current light works and being college student money is somewhat tight atm). I do have indirect light from a window (about 3-5 hours a day at an angle of about 30 degrees from window to tank). Would that provide enough natural light for some of the lower light plants or should I hold off until I can replace the tube light (I don't know what kind of light it is)? |
