I know these plants grow well in low lighting, but is there such a thing as lighting that's too high for anubias to thrive? I have 2.4 WPG on my tank and I'm planning on replanting with a few larger anubias plants and I'm wondering if my lighting and pressurized CO2 will benefit them or hurt them. Thanks!

IME they will definitely benefit from a little higher lighting as long as there are good levels of CO2 and other nutrients. Mine has grown really fast(for an anubias nana) with 2 wpg and CO2.

I have 2 types of anubias under 4wpg with co2. They are definitely not dying and 1 is growing quite fast under these conditions. It's more than doubled it's leaves in the past 2 weeks.

Like most low light plants they don't NEED a lot of light but they do appreciate it.

Usually the problem most people face with Anubias and bright light is algae, BBA and the green spotty stuff. This can be avoided by high levels of Co2 and good nutrient control. Some shading would also help avoid this.

The above would speed up their growth quite a bit, depending on the species should get at least one leaf a week.

I have barteri angustifolia and nana. The nana is not shaded at all, sitting right next to the co2, and has taken over a 12" piece of driftwood. The angustifolia is growing in the crack of a cave under a large amazon sword.
