Why not have a combination of two? Glosso in the foreground and then hairgrass or lilaeopsis just behind it.

I guess different people have different method... here's mine.

I divide the glosso to really small clumps and plant each clump so that about half of it is buried in the gravel and half of it pops out. The bits that are buried in the gravel stop it from floating and once the plant has taken off these bits send start growing up towards the gravel until they pop out. For me at least, it takes a bit (a week, perhaps) until the plant start growing in earnest and if it floats then this takes longer. Space the clumps around the area which you want it to cover and under good conditions (high light + co2) it will cover the substrate in a couple of weeks.

Certainly the Hairgrass is the easiest.

The Microsword is not bad but can take a long time to spread.

Glosso is certainly the prettiest but also possibly the most difficult. You do need bright light 3 wpg + to keep it low and growing horizontally.Needs good co2 and nutrients.

I agree with untitled I like the look of a mix of 2. But with a mix I'd go with the Microsword and Hairgrass. Glosso is too pretty and won't take the shading from another plant too well.
