lookin_around,

- That for sure is frustrating.

If they offer you a new one again, how about increasing your chance of getting a good one by telling them to send you 2 instead of 1? Remember, even if it reaches your house just fine, there is the possibility that you break it while either setting it up initially or when maintaining the tank (like when you clean the diffuser).

well, she called this morning and apologized. I'm not getting 2, but she did tell me that she was overnighting it, and was going to make sure they packaged it nice and tight.

I managed to squeeze in a WC today, and also go the Dwarf sag which was suprisingly still alive. Duffis here(muah) forgot to get the overnight or 2 day shipping, so they went through regular priority mail from singapore. Some were pretty much gone, but I think that for the most part, they are in OK condition.

well...got the diffuser today, and it wasn't broken, although there is a small crack towards the bottom, but I don't think its leaking or causing any problems
. I tried getting water into the chamber, by blowing through my mouth, which proved to be very tough. I got as much as I could and then placed it in the tank.
There is an incredible amount of backpressure...I hope my DIY co2 doesn't blow up

lookin_around,

Yeah, getting the water into the diffuser is truely a pain in the neck. I almost blew my eyes out of the sockets when trying to force the water in .

Question: Why did you order the dwarf sags in Asia? Couldn't you find them more locally? I once ordered them here in the US from a website and at least at that time they were widely available.

Well, I went over my whole system to ensure zero leaks, and added some "liquid nails" type stuff to the bottle caps to ensure it. Got some new yeast, and made a new solution. Did that all yesterday, and am sitting here, looking at the diffuser w/ 0 bubbles comin out. I'm thinkin of going back to the old so that I can at least get some co2 in the tank
