I am pretty well into the project and am looking for some good low lights to complete the setup. The tank is a 29 gallon, and I might be adding a DIY CO2 setup soon. So far I have an Ozelot Sword (Echinodorus 'Ozelot'), A sword plant I am not sure of ![]() Anyway, I was wondering what low-lights you guys recomend. Right now I am looking for something colorful, similar to Telanthera roseafolia, but low light. Thanks in advance |

There's just no need for it because the plants won't be able to use it, whereas the algae will ![]() ^_^ ![]() |

Especially with fast growing plants. And helps reduce algae also. For $10. or less, you can DIY the CO2 and see if it works for you or not.. The Amazon Nut... |

Those that will grow will probably grow out green leaves instead of red which defeats the purpose ! Ludwigia Repens may do ok and will get a reddish tint depending on light. Sunset Hygro also, but if not enough light the leaves will turn green. Some crypts have a nice reddish color. You can always play with different shades of green and contrasting leaf types and shapes to give a more interesting look. ![]() Remember that age and treachery will always triumph over youth and ability. |

The othergood bet is a red dwarf lotus - I've never seen these go green in low light, they just stay small. And don't forget the lovely, contrasting brown shades afforded by numerous crypt species! -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |
