this is the start so far. i don't know the exact type of sword i've got there, the store just had it listed as "large sword" on the side of the tank. so if anyone can help me out with the ID on that plant....

current inhabitants are 3 clown plecos and 2 pearl gouramies

I am not positive on the ID, but maybe you would like to compare it to Echinodorus subalatus. In any case, your 50G looks rather shallow (breeder tank, right) and a sword that is labeled "large" is probably not the best idea. Do you have an open top?

And in general, your profile lists quite a few plants (and fish) for our 50G. Is this one a new 50G or what happend to the existing one?

oh, i forgot to delete that old info. this is a new tank.

and the guy at the lfs told me it won't get any taller i guess that's what i get for listening to the lfs right?
