Hello !

There are a few moss types I have now where it's only a VERY small bit. I would like to grow it out a bit without worry it will get eaten by the fish. Would keeping in small water bottles by the window with tankwater in them be ok ? Thanks.

ps - (still looking for mini-moss)

Only moss I've ever had to work with was javamoss and that did fine on the windowsill....forgot about it actually kinda like the jar of it I had in a drawer.....for a few months ....that was a bit longer than I'd planned for a blackout :%)! but it worked .
cyano !.

One thing I have heard of doing if you're using a seperate container entirely is to use pure ammonia as you would for cycling a new tank. Aparently the plants love it it is their food source afterall ...
