I asked about moving the fish on general freshwater, so I figured maybe here's a good place to ask aabout moving with plants How do I do that? They'd need to spend several days out of the aquarium, and I've spent lots of money on them-- most of them are high light plants, too...

I tried to tell you about the plants, but a IE/dial up error killed it.

They should be fine. Just separate them into bags and place them in your heated containers.

Some of them might fuss, but they should all regrow any loss that they have had.

Yep, plants are WAY easier to move than fish IME. I have fairly easy-care plants, but I guess the same applies to most plants.

If you have the energy or enthusiasm, you could rinse them in clean water each couple of days but I've never bothered. The biggest danger to the plants is the stagnant water, so the more water you can put them in, the better. If you can put them in a large cooler with an air-stone running (just to keep the water moving) then that would be great, but I doubt it's worth the effort.

Before you plant them in your new tank, rinse them, check them over and remove any brown, soft or dying leaves with a sharp pair of scissors to make sure only healthy plant material goes in the tank.

Have fun!

Thanks a bunch you guys! I thought they'd die in like a day without light... guess I just need to stop worrying!
