Recently i have started to notice that my amazon swords are starting to get brown patches on the leaves.
Someone informed me that this is due to a lack of something in the water.
Can someone advise me on what i can use to prevent this.
Also can someone advise me on what is the best weekly plant food to use in an aquarium.

Thanks

Hey Paddy,
Bookmark [link=this page]http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_nutrient.htm" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] as it's a great resource to have.

My experiences with liquid ferts is tht they're generally not a good idea. Instead it's better to dose specifically for the problem your plants are telling you they have.

Brown spots are caused by a lack of something the plant needs for growth. The site Babelfish posted will let you figure out what is missing by the symptoms your plant shows then you can buy the appropriate fertilizer, increase light, or add co2 depending what you need.
